The premise of the book was great.

Ultimately it was ruined by the characters in the book. It’s yet another “plucky teenager” story, but the teens…don’t act at ALL like normal teens. It was..frustrating. There is no real character development here.

If you want a Rosewell yarn, this DOES qualify, and does have an interesting twist…if you can deal with overly cheerful teenage sleuths.

Ultimately, I couldn’t even finish it.

This is a fast paced book, and easy to read – definitely held my interest. For those who look out for what their kids are reading – even though the main characters in this book are high school juniors, there are several violent murder and assault scenes, an intense bullying scene, a couple of abductions, and a rape. I can’t say I’ve read a book before that has popped up four sicko characters (meaning the violent and/or delusional nuts), whether they’re killed off or not. It could be plausible due to the environment. The author comes across as a novice in several places, however the story is intriguing. This is my first Kindle book – pretty good job – only a few typos. After reading reviews of the second book in the series, turns out I won’t bother to find out what happens next – the violence apparently gets worse.

I would have loved this book when I was 14, but in my opinion it’s a little twee for adults. Too many characters are produced, only to be killed off 3 pages later.

A mildly amusing effort written more for the junior high school crowd. Adults will be very bored, very quickly. A “Recommend” only for the “Land Of The Lost” audience.

As the author of The Second Ship, I am pleased to announce that I am making IMMUNE, the second book in The Rho Agenda series, available to Kindle owners months in advance of its paperback publication.

    Enjoy.
