Get a bassinet! Those parents who gripe and complain about their babies sliding out of these wedges and onto their beds are idiots! Your endangering your own babies life by sleeping with them in the same bed. A safe tip is to buy a bassinet and keep it next to your bed…WOW problem solved!

Does the Close and Secure Sleeper matress pad use a bassinet sheet and if not where can I find a sheet that does?

    Thank You,

This is just a caution about sleep positioners that claim to reduce the risk of SIDS. Pillows, wedges, and positioning devices are not recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics or Consumer Reports. They have not been adequately tested to support their claim of reducing the risk of SIDS and may even increase the risk of suffocation. (the device itself can become a barrier to the baby’s breathing) Babies are safest when placed on their backs in a crib with no soft bedding, pillows, or toys around. Usually when babies are old enough to roll over on their own, they are past the most critical period for SIDS (2-4 months). It is not my intent to scare anyone, just to dispel misinformation. I never actually got to use this, my baby is very long for his age so I just shipped it right back. I did open it and I really like the design. I wish I could have put my baby in it back then, would have allowed me to get more rest.

This item is not useful and I don’t feel it is safe. I bought this item with the intention of having our new son sleep close to us. The item is not stable and turns to the side if you get close to it, waking the baby up and wrenching it to the side. Our bed is semi-soft mattress, maybe it wouldn’t do that with a really firm one. Also, the tiny piece of mattress/foam that they have in there is ridiculous for a baby, its like having a baby sleep on cardboard. I bought this on clearance for only 12.99 and returned it 2 days later. Go with the bassinet or co-sleeper!!
