Amazon originally promoted the Kindle (with the buy in of several NY Times best selling authors’ endorsements) that you can purchase “NY TImes bestsellers for $ 9.99 per book.” They didn’t advise (or highly advertise) you that after spending nearly $400.00 for the Kindle that you would have to pay nearly the same amount for a hard copy of a book that wasn’t a NY Times bestseller (or close to it). Shame, shame on you Amazon. Folks need to know that Amazon must present its “marketing” tactics that people like us can understand. Amazon hasn’t done this. However, we have an option. Don’t file an opposition here. Do it through the Federal Trade Commission’s web site (www.ftc.gov). It has instructions to file a complaint. The FTC regulates Amazon and oversees it’s promises to us lowly folk that spends money to keep its executives…rich.

Will read this book when the idiot publisher realizes that anything over $9.99 won’t sell as a Kindle edition! Wake up publishers!
Smart authors should publish directly to the Kindle and cut out the publisher’s profit entirely. You DO realize this is coming? I can’t wait for the day!

let me start by saying I havent read this yet, and I’m sure its as great as all of Rollins’ other books….but..what happened to the $9.99 new release Kindle pricing system? This is very expensive for a Kindle book

My husband has read a few books by James Rollins and this was in my recommendations from Amazon, so I ordered it. My husband said he couldn’t even follow all the action at the end of the book. Things going on in multiple places. Too much. He said “Don’t get any more books by this author.”

I can not put this book down. It is a great book as all Sigma Force Novels are. But this one is special Another great buy from Amazon.
