Since buying this computer I have installed the following Linux distributions on as many partitions: PCLinuxOS 2010.2, Fedora 12.1 , Mandriva 2010, Ubuntu 10.4 and openSUSE 11.2. I wasted a bit on the price since it came with Windows 7, which I have not even booted into. So far I have not found any hardware compatibility problems. If you are looking for a reasonably priced computer that can handle Linux, then this is the one.

I have had this machine for more than a month now and I am very satisfied with it. Very fast compared to th Viaio that I replaced. I recommend.

When i recieved this product it was just like christmas day. Open a box that had no dents and seeing a shiny new toy in the box. There was no problems with getting it out. I got it before the actual due date with out a scratch.

After looking at lot of higher priced PCs,I deceided that that really needed was contained in the eMachine at about half the cost. Set-upwas a breeze. Microsoft 7 was smoothest OS I’ve ever instsalled – I love it!
Good price, good performance = good value.

I have used my e-machine for about three weeks now and have been very pleased with its speed and performance. It is also very quiet. I was very pleased with the lack of pre-loaded garbage that I seemed to get with every Dell that I ever owned. There were a couple of things that I removed, but it was all very simple. I had a few operating system issues, but I think that was a Windows 7 problem and not this machine. I made some minor setting changes and everything seems to be working properly (fingers crossed).
