I am Meredith Gentry, P.I., solving cases in Los Angeles, far from the peril and deception of my real home–because I am also Princess Meredith, heir to the darkest throne faerie has to offer. The Unseelie Court infuses me with its power. But at what price does such magic come? How much of my human side will I have to give up, and how much of the sinister side of faerie will I have to embrace? To sit on a throne that has ruled through bloodshed and violence for centuries, I might have to become that which I dread the most.

Wow, I am surprised to find SO many people who are dissatisfied with Hamilton’s Merry Gentry series! I love it! I guess if you really dislike the series, simply don’t read anymore… Common sense. And yes, there are a lot of sexual parts, but there is that much, if not more, in her other books. I love the plot, and hope she keeps going!!!!

The only thing not quite perfect is the fact that the whole book only covered less than a full day.

Meredith Gentry is my newest hero! She is strong and independent because she has to be. This was a long book that I read in less than a day – which is about the time period it covers! I can’t wait until the next installment. I love the world of the fey! Kudos to Laurell Hamilton on a great series!

I really loved this book, it took me two days to read – which is slower than usual, but I loved it.
Laurell K Hmailton must have such a vivid imagination, because she has exclled herslef in this book, and in fact the whole Meridith gentry series.
Who will Merry end up with?
How many men can she have sex with at once?
When is she going to bonk Frost next?
When will cel get his just desserts.
So many questions!!
Roll on the next book!!!!

I have always believed that Laurell has a cult following with her Merry and Anita series but this book proves me wrong. A stoke of Midnight appeals to all readers, not just the devoted series readers. It is fast moving and the action just doesn’t stop! Fantastic read and I can’t wait for the next one!
